A/B
1

A/B grew out of a self-initiated project with a small group of fellow RCA students working across different disciplines. Together, we put together a publication built around two sides: Side A held the polished, finished work, while Side B was given over to experiments, dead ends, and the paths we didn't take, giving a fuller picture of what making looks like.

We chose a ring-bound index card format so the whole thing could be shuffled and reordered endlessly, echoing the way ideas kept crossing and colliding throughout our time at the RCA. There was no fixed beginning or end, just an ongoing flow of ideas bumping into each other.

I managed the project, coordinating mainly the printside teams and working alongside both students and the studio Bond & Coyne to bring it all together. My role spanned everything from testing paper stocks to manufacturing the physical publications, seeing it through from first idea to launch.

Ultimately, A/B is less a publication than a statement about process itself: open-ended, collaborative, and alive.
